The City of San Leandro (the City) enacted a minimum wage ordinance (the MWO) that requires you to pay any employee who works at least two hours in one calendar week within the geographic boundaries of the City at the local minimum wage rate (the San Leandro minimum wage).1
The MWO applies to your business if it is subject to San Leandro’s business license requirements or if you maintain a business facility in San Leandro. If you conduct any business in San Leandro, even if you do not have an office or facility there, the MWO likely applies to your business. For example, if you make a sale, take an order or perform any similar business activity within the City, your business meets the business license requirements and must comply with the MWO.2
