The job title is the name you use to identify the job. Often, the job title is the last item you decide on because preparing the job description can guide you to selecting an appropriate job title. If you add a new function to an existing job, the new job title can match a previous job, but you can designate it as a higher level, such as “Clerk II” or “Senior Mechanic.”
