Court OKs Policy: No Vacation Earned During First Year on the Job

An employee who worked less than one year was not entitled to vacation pay at the time of termination because the company had a lawful policy stating that employees do not start to earn vacation until after their first year of employment, according to a recent California Court of Appeal decision (Minnick v. Automotive Creations, Inc., 2017 WL 3203265 (2017)).​
