Cal/OSHA Heat Stress

Cal/OSHA developed the Heat Illness Prevention in Outdoor Places of Employment standards with the goal to reduce both the frequency and severity of occupational heat-related illness in all outdoor places of employment.  California law requires that supervisors and any worker subjected to sun and heat exposure must be trained to recognize the risks of and take appropriate preventative measures to avoid heat stress.

This course is an ideal training tool for all workers who are exposed to heat while on the job - including construction, manufacturing, public safety, transportation, field, agriculture and temporary employees.

Technical Requirements: The course requires an Adobe Flash Plug-in v8 or later and runs on both Windows and Macintosh systems.  A computer with an Internet Browser with JavaScript and cookies enabled is required. We recommend a high-speed internet connection.

Recommended Browsers: Internet Explorer 6.0 or later, Safari, and Firefox. Due to flash content we do not support 64-bit browsers at this time.

Screen Resolution: Minimum suggested: 800x600, Recommended: 1024x768 or greater.  The course requires no system software, storage, or IT resources
