Everyday, we come in contact with potentially hazardous chemicals. Because serious accidents have occurred as the result of improper use of these chemicals, OSHA has implemented the Hazard Communication Standard. The purpose of this law is to inform employees, employers and the general public about chemical hazards in the workplace. This course covers the six major categories of the Hazard Communication Standard: Hazard Determination, Chemical Labeling, Material Safety Data Sheets, Employee Training, The Company Written Program, and the Availability of Manufacturer Trade Secrets.
