Required Notices Kit

Whether you have one employee or 1,000, California businesses are required to post employment notices in a central location and provide certain pamphlets.

As of January 1, 2012, your 2011 California and federal labor and employment notices posters are out of compliance.

In one convenient kit, CalChamber provides a two-poster set with mandatory updates to required employment notices for 2012, including the new 11"x17" NLRA notice that's mandatory for most private-sector employers. (See the Updates tab below.) The kit also includes 20 copies of each of the five pamphlets employees must receive.

The NLRB has delayed the original 1/31/12 posting deadline for the NLRA notice until 4/30/12. See the Updates tab below for details. Watch the video.

Effective April 30, 2012, most private-sector employers must post a new notice issued by the NLRB entitled, "Employee Rights Under the National Labor Relations Act." This poster requirement was scheduled to be implemented on January 31, 2012, but the NLRB has delayed implementation until April 30, 2012. Certain industries like agriculture, airlines, and railroads, as well as some small businesses, are exempt from the NLRA notice requirement. Read more or watch the video.

Due to litigation the implementation date could change again, so check the HR Watchdog blog on HRCalifornia regularly for status updates.
