This section explains employer obligations to employees eligible for family and medical leave under state and federal law. If a pregnant employee requests pregnancy disability leave and you have fewer than 50 employees, or an employee is not eligible for FMLA/CFRA, follow the steps outlined in Pregnancy Disability Leave, when administering leaves related to pregnancy disability only.
