Hostile Environment Harassment

In deciding if harassment is sufficiently severe or pervasive to create a hostile work environment, the EEOC traditionally evaluates the harasser’s conduct from the objective viewpoint of a “reasonable person.” If the challenged conduct would not substantially affect a reasonable person’s work environment, then the conduct doesn’t violate the law.1​​
