Prepare an Investigation Summary and Retain Files

After the investigator collects and analyzes the facts and then draws conclusions, he/she should document the findings and conclusions in an investigation summary. If the investigation was performed by an outside party, ensure that the third party communicates the investigation report only to you or your agent. This summary should include:​​
