Workers' Compensation, Transportation and Infrastructure
Jeremy Merz recently joined the California Chamber of Commerce as a policy advocate for workers’ compensation, transportation, local government and international trade issues.
Merz comes to the CalChamber from Downey Brand, LLP, where he represented private defendants in state and federal courts on business litigation, employment law and workers’ compensation litigation.
Previously Merz served as a judicial extern to the Honorable Frank C. Damrell, Jr., U.S. District Court judge for the Eastern District of California.
He also was a workers’ compensation claims case manager for Liberty Mutual.
Merz earned a B.A. in economics from the University of California at Davis and a J.D. with distinction from the University of Pacific, McGeorge School of Law. While at McGeorge he served on the editorial board of the McGeorge Law Review.
