CalChamber Urges Veto of Nanny Break Bill

Legislation Mandates Meal/Rest Breaks, Overtime Pay Rules for Domestic Work Employees

(September 26, 2012) The California Chamber of Commerce today released a CalChamber News segment urging Governor Edmund G. Brown Jr. to veto AB 889 (Ammiano; D-San Francisco). The bill would order the Department of Industrial Relations to adopt regulations addressing meal and rest breaks and overtime compensation for domestic work employees, including babysitters.
