Many 'Job Killers' Fail; Needed Reforms Go to Governor
(September 6, 2012) Marc Burgat, CalChamber vice president of government relations, reports that the CalChamber focus on job creation and economic health was heard in the Legislature. Of more than 30 "job killers" identified this year, only six passed. Other victories included passage of reforms to the workers' compensation and pension systems, plus limits on frivolous litigation related to the Americans with Disabilities Act.
