(January 10, 2012) Starting in January California employers will pay $280 million more for unemployment insurance. It represents a 37% tax hike. The feds propose a tax hike because california's unemployment trust fund is more than $9 billion in the red. It means the state has sale to pay back federal loan for two years in a row now employers must pay more. (CBS-13)
