Workers' Compensation Pamphlets

Employers are required to give a Workers' Compensation pamphlet to all new employees at the time of hire, or no later than the end of the first pay period. The 2012 pamphlet includes updated rates.

Each packet contains 20 copies of the workers' compensation pamphlet, available in English or Spanish.



Effective January 1, 2012: New Temporary Disability Benefit Rates, as issued by California’s Division of Workers’ Compensation (DWC)

The Workers’ Compensation pamphlet describes:

  • The workers' compensation benefits program, including the types of benefits available
  • Information about how to predesignate a physician who will provide treatment for industrial injuries
  • What to do if there is a dispute
  • The penalties for making fraudulent claims
  • What to do if the employee becomes injured at work
