This sexual harassment information must be given to workers upon hire:
- Defines sexual harassment and provides examples of prohibited behavior
- Enforces your zero-tolerance policy
- Assures employees of their right to complain about sexual harassment without fear of retaliation
CalChamber’s sexual harassment pamphlet is approved by the Department of Fair Employment and Housing (DFEH), and encourages employees to bring sexual harassment concerns to the attention of the employer rather than to initiate legal action. Each pamphlet contains the information you are required to give all employees and independent contractors to inform them of their right to a harassment-free workplace. It also provides information on how to fully comply with the law, as well as a sample complaint procedure and harassment policy.
Each packet contains 20 copies of the sexual harassment pamphlet, available in English or Spanish.
