CalChamber Public Affairs Council to Look at New Political Era

 

(October 16, 2008) Political consultant Dick Morris, credited with guiding former President Bill Clinton’s successful re-election campaign in 1996, will be a guest speaker at the November retreat of the California Chamber of Commerce Public Affairs Council.

The retreat, scheduled for November 12–14 at the Lodge at Torrey Pines in La Jolla, will focus on “The New Political Era.” Retreat sessions will include an overview of the 2008 election; the impact of issue advocacy media; panel discussions on the impact of the media on the presidential campaign and an inside look at the 2008 election; reception with legislators; a look at state policies in the 2008-09 legislative session and what’s expected in 2010; and a look at the 2010 elections.
