phMainContent (July 15, 2008) The California Chamber of Commerce has scheduled a telephone workshop to explain the business impact of newly released revisions to the federal regulations implementing the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA).
The phone workshop is scheduled for July 22 beginning at 2 p.m.
The featured speaker at the workshop will be Gregory F. Hurley, Esq., principal shareholder in the Greenberg Traurig law firm. Hurley is a nationally recognized expert on disability law and author of an upcoming CalChamber book providing guidance on the ADA.
The U.S. Department of Justice has proposed significant revisions and commentary on guidelines issued in 2004. Questions to be addressed at the workshop include what the department’s commentary means for business, the significance of the department’s cost analysis and whether businesses should provide public comments before the August 18 deadline.
