CalChamber to Offer Webinar on Leaves of Absence
(October 5, 2012) To help businesses avoid common mistakes and better understand job-protected leaves covered by both federal and state law, the California Chamber of Commerce is offering a webinar on October 18.

CalChamber's employment law experts will answer frequently asked questions regarding FMLA and CFRA leaves, including:
- Can an employee be terminated if FMLA/CFRA is exhausted?
- When are employees required to use vacation, sick or PTO during a leave?
- Can health insurance be terminated for nonpayment?
- Can both parents take baby bonding leave at the same time?
Attendees will also receive guidance and best practices regarding:
- Employee eligibility;
- Qualifying reasons;
- Medical certification;
