(April 11, 2011) To help employers avoid common and costly mistakes when classifying exempt employee, the California Chamber of Commerce is offering a live web seminar on April 14.
Some of the largest multimillion-dollar awards of back pay by the courts have been due to employers misclassifying employees as exempt.
Exempt – When You’ve Properly Classified Webinar, is being held on Thursday, April 14, 10 a.m.-11:30 a.m.The webinar will cover:
General overview of exempt vs. non-exempt;
Which employees meet the administrative exemption;
Which employees meet the professional exemption;
Which employees meet the computer professional exemption;
Which employees meet the inside and outside sales exemption.
Live webinar attendees receive downloadable webinar slides, but not a recording of the live event. Attendees have the option to submit questions during the event.
The on-demand webinar, which is available for purchase beginning April 25, offers downloadable webinar slides and a recording of the live event. Attendees will not be able to submit questions.
