Lobbying

By looking out for the needs and interests of California’s employers, our lobbying efforts help keep the private sector viable. We work within state politics, federal affairs and international trade.  One result of our diligence is shown in our major legislative victories (pdf).

In addition to our active role in the state, the CalChamber closely monitors and helps to shape key federal legislation concerning issues such as trade, health care and environmental regulations. Meanwhile, our International Trade Team works to promote business-friendly positions with International organizations and agreements.

To help set policy based on the needs of California employers, CalChamber members can participate through our councils and policy committees

Policy Committees

CalChamber members can participate in a range of industry and policy specific committees, where they help develop CalChamber policy and guide our advocacy team in supporting or opposing proposed legislation and regulations.
